I am originally from San Diego and most of my family and work history is from there. I have worked in many administrative roles over the years that ended up having me doing some form of bookkeeping. I really enjoyed that aspect, as it's pretty black and white; either right or wrong haha.

I began taking courses online to further my own knowledge in that area and took on an as-needed side job doing bookkeeping for a small business. I then got hired on as a temp bookeeper/admin for a logistics company. While that particular company was not a great environment, I did learn a lot more and it motivated me to push myself with my own education. Once my temp position ended, I was more driven than I expected, and decided to begin the process of launching my own bookkeeping services.

As of April 2025 I officially soft launched my business Blackthorn Bookkeeping & Financials! I am registered as a DBA in the state and within LA County to provide bookkeeping services and I have certifications. I am continuing to stay on top of educating myself on best practices and state compliances.

As I have grown to love the Long Beach area, my primary goal is to help small businesses within the community so that they can focus on their services while I focus on mine. Though, I am more than happy to help any small business, in any way that I can. I look forward to working with you!
